Pre-School
St. John the Baptist Pre-school Learning Program
is available for children
3-5 years. Parents may choose for their child: half days on
Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday, 3 full days, or 5 full days. Extended
care from
6:45 a.m.-8:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. is
available for no extra
charge. The school term begins on Tuesday after Labor Day
and concludes
Friday before Memorial Day. Classes follow the same schedule
as the
Elementary School. Tuition is based on a monthly charge.
Registration begins
in early March with limited spaces available. Call 481-6654
to request a form.
This program is designed to give your child an
important head start in school.
A professional teacher helps your child with fundamental
Math and Reading
skills to help prepare him or her to enter kindergarten.
Other focuses of the
program include helping each child with gross and fine motor
skills development,
following directions, and listening and sharing with others.
Aspects of social
development focus on the awareness of the world around us,
good feelings
about ourselves, learning how to relate to others outside of
our families, and
learning to put feelings into words.
A hot lunch is provided daily along with two snacks.
A playground provides
for outdoor fun and even field trips are taken to broaden
horizons. |
